The art of archery : making a fletched shaft strike a target of your choosing. Would you like to take part in this noble sport? Have you a steady hand and a good eye? Why not come along and see?
We have a beginners introductory course of 6 lessons, which commences with a free lesson. All the necessary equipment is provided.
If on sampling the free lesson you feel that its not for you then you don’t have to come back. if however, you do like it then you can continue to complete the course (for £30) where you will be taught the basics of archery. Following the course you would be eligible to join our club.
We are a smallish band of archers, some 30 strong; with half this number active on a regular basis and we welcome new members into our ranks.
Membership is available once you have attended a beginners course or already know the basics. Members have their own equipment but you can use the club equipment, free of charge until you decide to buy your own.
We can be found each Sunday at our outdoor shooting range at The Society of Old Brentwoods in Ashwells Road or on Wednesday at the Brentwood Centre.
For further details contact Jim Oliver on 01277 374035
We also welcome intermediate and advanced archers.
“Juniors” means anyone under the age of 18. Juniors over 12 are welcome to join the full club as long as they have completed a recognised beginners course.
All juniors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Fees are reviewed yearly at the Club’s A.G.M.
For New Adult Members it is currently (2014) £16 Per Month, Juniors pay £6 Per Month.
All members also have to pay fees to the sports governing body ArcheryGB (G.N.A.S.) (via the club). This fee provides for insurance. Currently the fee is about £40 per annum.
Existing ArcheryGB (G.N.A.S.) members from other clubs are welcome. We charge a £4 per session target fee.
Please contact us first and then bring your G.N.A.S. membership card with you so we can sign you in.
